Satelite
Plus® |

The Satelite Plus Realtime Terminal is used mainly by sewing operators to clock in and
out, scan bundles, and as a "coaching device" to pace themselves and improve
their performance. Terminals can also be configured as "Hourly Time Clocks" to
capture time and attendance data for hourly employees, or as Statistical Quality
Control (SQC) data entry terminals to capture quality data from inspection operations (as
illustrated below). |
| The Satelite Plus realtime terminal provides a completely
interactive dialogue between the operator and the system. Prompts and error messages are
provided in clear language (based on each operator's preferred language) and can be
modified by the customer. |
 |
Display,
Keypad and Barcode Reader
- A 2-line by 16-character alphanumeric liquid crystal display supports the English
alphabet and other common symbols. It is used to display motivational information, provide
response to operator queries, and confirm data transmissions or error conditions.
- 16-key keypad is used to enter data and respond to system messages, input low volume
data, or input data if a barcode coupon becomes lost or unreadable.
- Optional integrated barcode slot reader or external wand is used for most data
entry, e.g. bundle scans, clock-in, clock-out, and job changes.
- Realtime communication with the system automatically transmits and receives information
from the host Satelite Plus computer.
|
- Other Terminal Features
- An integrated, modular overhead cabling system provides power and
communications
- An internal beeper provides audible feedback to the operator for barcode
scanning, keying, and error messages
- A single input line enables the terminal to count external events
- A barcode wand can optionally be attached to the terminal or an integral
slot barcode reader can be added to a key-only terminal.
